For the past 30+ years LaBant a USMC veteran has trained studied and practiced internal Martial Arts.
His primary specialization is Qigong, with emphasis on the therapeutic aspects of the art. Michael is a level 2 certified instructor with the NQA, a Master Trainer with the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association, a board Certified Instructor with the Tai Chi for Health Institute, and a practice leader with the Institute of Integral Qi Gong & Tai Chi. LaBant started his journey back in 1987 at the Classic Internal Chinese Arts Institute learning the classic 104 Yang style Taiji. Here he was introduced to the benefits of Qigong. In his 36 odd years as a student, practitioner and teacher, Michael has attended classes,, seminars, retreats and formal schooling with numerous Teachers, Masters & Dr.'s of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Including Dr. Roger Jahnke, Master Ken Cohen, Master Robert Peng, Master Mingtong Gu, and numerous others. In addition to the Yang long form Michael is schooled in Chen small frame and Sun style Taiji. He also holds rank in Dragon-style Kung Fu and is a long time practitioner of Hatha Yoga. He also holds certifications in various types of Energy Medicine. Michael ha taught for a number of years in various locations for an area Hospital and has done numerous pro bono seminars and teachings groups & wellness centers. He is currently the instructor for the Miller Center for Health & Wellness in Central PA.
