I am a yoga (RYT-200, RCYT-95) and qigong (Holden Qigong, Tier 1) teacher of adults, seniors, and PreK-12 students. I teach group classes at Luneh Yoga and private classes via Zoom. I also teach a hybrid of yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga, and qigong at Onelife Fitness in Washington, DC.
My teaching philosophy is to empower students to be their best selves. I believe that movement practices like yoga and qigong are for anybody, anywhere, no matter where one is on their fitness journey. Yoga and qigong are more than just flowy movements and shapes; both are a state of mind. I help adults who are experiencing chronic tension and stress find release so they can go back into their day feeling relaxed and recharged. I help PreK-12 students who are experiencing anxiety, anger, and self-doubt learn how to recognize and regulate their emotions in ways that give them agency and tools for their own learning. Off the mat, I take these ancient practices and philosophies into my day job as a museum educator at the National Museum of Asian Art.
